My History
My Story...
I must admit – I actually always loved Accountancy. It was my favourite subject at school, so it was quite natural that I opted for a study course with Accounting as a major subject. I completed my National Diploma in Internal Auditing and started my very first job as an auditing clerk at a Chartered Accountancy firm.
I soon got involved in Accounting software setup, support and training at the firm I was working for and discovered a brand new passion – IT. I met my husband and when he was transferred to a different city, I started my own consultancy business, offering Bookkeeping services, Pastel Accounting setup, support and training, as well as Accounting support to my very own clients.
A brand new adventure awaited when my husband was transferred to Zambia at the end of 1999. We enjoyed every moment of living there. It also allowed me time to further my studies, so in 2003 I started my Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology and Computer Sciences (with Accounting again as subject), which I completed at the end of 2005. I was honored with the College Medal for the best performance in the degree Bachelor of Science for the year 2005 and obtained my degree with distinction.
Soon after, we moved back to South Africa and bought a flooring and blinds business. I managed this business successfully for 7 years, after which it was sold.
Once again I started consulting and offering bookkeeping services.
I have a huge passion for animals and worked at a Welfare Society in Port Elizabeth as their Senior Accountant for four years.
